Fountain

The centerpiece of the dome will be a fountain made to look like black marble. Water cascades down from the top and collects in a still pool, from where it is recirculated. The fountain helps to maintain the humidity in the dome.

The fountain will probably be made of fiberglass painted to look like black marble. A hidden pump recirculates water from the pool back to the top of the fountain.

Plants

A collection of tropical plants will be placed around the dome to create the oasis ambience and to help keep the air fresh.

Misters

There will be misters in the ceiling which can cause a fine mist to rain down into the dome, both to water the plants and to provide evaporative cooling for the dome. Small hoses will run from a water source up the backs of the struts to provide water to the misters.

Massage Tables

One or two (or more?) massage tables will be placed in the dome, radiating out from the fountain. Ideally, a way can be found to provide curtains to close off the massage areas.

Furniture

Other furniture will also be needed. A futon near the massage tables for relaxing, a couple of tables, and a few chairs.

Lights

At night, pastel lights will shine on the interior of the dome. These may be spotlights, or perhaps EL-Wire. The idea is to provide a mellow night sky within the dome. Someone has suggested that stars and constellations be projected on the ceiling of the dome.
