The Costumes

The costumes were varied and wonderful. Often characters from the movies appeared on the street.

The weather in Key West is very warm all day long and through the night. Wear a heavy costume, and you'll be miserable. Wear something less and you'll be much more comfortable. The weather, combined with the friendly and safe atmosphere leads to a lot of daring and very imaginative costumes.

Friday Promenade

On Friday afternoon, there's a costume parade that winds through old town. It passes Whispers, the bed-and-breakfast where we stayed, and where I took these pictures.. Whispers and the two neighboring B&B's set up a table and serve rum punch and cookies to the marchers.
